Audubon Recreation Association (ARA) founded 1967 & Methacton Baseball Association (MBA) founded 1982, both located in Lower Providence PA have operated as (2) competing Baseball / Softball organizations for nearly 40yrs. At times, both ARA & MBA had their moment(s) as the “Top Program” in the area competing at the highest levels of PA District & State competitions, yet the feeling of “community” success was missing.  Friends, Classmates & Neighbors would find themselves competing as rivals on the Diamond rather than celebrating the success.

Over the years many individuals from both organizations tried to find ways to bring the (2) programs together; however, in the late Spring / Summer of 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, league officials from both ARA & MBA came together with the sole purpose of merging these (2) successful programs.

In the Fall of 2020, the ARA & MBA organizations joined together to offer their kids the opportunity to play Recreational Baseball & Softball under the slogan #letthemplay.  It was then that the MARA (Methacton Audubon Recreation Association) organization was born. The merger became official in the Winter of 2020 with the (2) organizations merged as (1) and now known as MARA.

MARA (Methacton Audubon Recreation Association) – A volunteer organization with the focus of providing a safe and healthy environment for youth sports and helping develop our community children into outstanding young men & women.  We offer our communities youth the opportunity to compete in Baseball, Softball & Basketball at various levels.  Most importantly it offers our players & family a sense of “community”.  With a 1st class volunteer base, (4) sports complexes for both Baseball & Softball and  multiple basketball facilities, MARA has something to offer all our youth.

We look forward to you joining our community!
